There are many nearby hotels. We recommended you find a hotel within walking distance or that is a short commute by public transportation or rental car. We also suggest you ask about any available discounts when making your reservation.
Should I rent a car?
From all airports, bus service is also available to Grand Central Terminal and some Midtown hotels.
A rental car is not recommended. Driving in traffic is a real challenge, and daily parking can be very expensive. However, if you plan to extend your visit before or after training, consider picking up a rental car at one of the airports, since rentals originating in Manhattan locations will generally be much more expensive than at the airports. Public transportation has excellent coverage and frequent service in Midtown.
Depending on your expected use of bus or subway service, a MetroCard allows multiple rides and costs less than individual ride fares. MetroCards are sold at all subway stations from ATM-like machines.
You can also take taxis, which are plentiful in Manhattan, except for during rush hour or bad weather.
If you are an area resident, the training facility is a long walk or a short bus or subway ride from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, Penn Station, and Grand Central Terminal.
